FELIP is featured in yet another international collaboration — this time, with J-pop group ONE OR EIGHT and Vietnamese-American singer Thuy.

The latest remix brings intense trap beats that highlight Felip’s distinct deep vocals and smooth rap style, while thủy’s sultry voice weaves through her own original lyrics. Staying faithful to the essence of the original track, the remix delivers a seamless blend of R&B and hip-hop –– resulting in a powerful anthem about breaking boundaries and chasing dreams with self-determination.

Talking about such a prolific collaboration, FELIP expressed his excitement at participating in the song, stating “I’m excited to remix this amazing track. It’s an honor to collaborate with talented artists like ONE OR EIGHT and thủy, and I love that this showcases artists from all over the world. I enjoy making music that I love, and I hope that fans and listeners will enjoy it too.”

An official press statement from ONE OR EIGHT’s NEO also highlighted their excitement at the Filipino rapper’s involvement, as he mentioned “I think we all brought our unique flavors and styles, blending them in a way that uncovered a whole new dimension of ”KAWASAKI”. The contrast between Felip’s deep, resonant tone and my sharp, piercing sound created an exciting synergy, adding so much depth to the track.”

News of the track’s release was first shared as a surprise announcement from FELIP’s label, Warner Music Philippines last February 8, following the release of his live ‘from the cafe’ cover of Never The Strangers’ single “Moving Closer.”

Together with the track’s announcement, Warner Music Philippines showcased several of his projects lined up — including a music video of his “Moving Closer” cover (starring Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano), and a special signing of a yet-to-disclosed item from Backspacer Records.

Just recently, FELIP was featured on SKY-HI’s new single, titled “ID,” wherein he joins the likes of Ryoki of BE: First, Ryuki of Mazzel, and Jimmy of Psychic Fever. For his verse on the track, FELIP demonstrates his fluency across various languages and dialects, rapping in Bisaya, Tagalog, and English, as his fellow collaborators all showcase their talents in their native languages.

He also performed at the D.U.N.K. Showcase in Yokohoma, Japan last January 12 and 13, wherein he performed alongside SKY-HI himself, as well as Kaito Takahashi, PsychicFever, &Team, Be:First, and Mazzel, among others. “The show was really massive and one of the biggest stages I’ve performed in,” said FELIP on his official X (formerly Twitter) account. “It’s such a huge honor!”

2024 marked a busy year for FELIP — especially with the release of his debut studio album 7sins, alongside such hit singles as “Fake Faces” and two collaborations with PLAYERTWO — “Pagdali” and “FLYYY.” To celebrate the release of his 7sins album, FELIP also performed a special one-night-only concert at the Music Exchange in Shibuya last September and even participated in a special in-store signing event at the famous Tower Records in Tokyo.

Together with his fellow SB19 members, he is set to make a comeback as KEN for their upcoming EP, Simula At Wakas, which is scheduled for release this April 25. In line with their new era, the group is also set to embark on a tour starting May 31.
