Doechii, JENNIE, aespa, Gracie Abrams, And More Awarded At Billboard Women In Music 2025
From rising stars and industry icons to global pop frontrunners and hip-hop favorites, Billboard‘s Women In Music 2025 honored “the incredible women who continue to drive innovation, inspire change, and reshape the future of music.”

Honoring the influential women in the music industry from across the world, Billboard Women In Music perfectly capped off this year’s International Women’s Month.
Held last March 29, 2025 (Saturday) at the YouTube Theater in Inglewood California, Billboard Women In Music’s 2025 iteration — its 18th overall — shone a spotlight on and showcased a star-studded roster of honorees, featuring a total 14 artists honored at the event. These honorees and their awarded titles are as follows:
- Doechii – Woman of the Year
- aespa – Group of the Year
- Ángela Aguilar – Breakthrough
- ANNA – Billboard Italy Woman of the Year
- Charlotte Cardin – Billboard Canada Woman of the Year
- Erykah Badu – Icon
- GloRilla – Powerhouse
- Gracie Abrams – Songwriter of the Year
- JENNIE – Global Force
- Megan Moroney – Rulebreaker (presented by Crown Royal Whisky)
- Meghan Trainor – Hitmaker
- Muni Long – Rising Star (presented by Honda Stage)
- Tina Knowles – Mother of the Year
- Tyla – Impact (presented by Bose)
In addition to these deserving artists, multiple figures who have made their own impact from behind the scenes were also honored for their achievements and contributions to the global music industry. Namely, these included five women who were given the title of 2025 Executives of the Year — Jenna Adler, Lucy Dickins, Samantha Kirby Yoh, Cara Lewis, and Marsha Vlasic, recognized as the “leading agents across five top booking agencies.”
Alongside the awards, stunning performances from select honorees were also another highlight of the night. These included Megan Moroney with “Am I Okay?,” Muni Long with “Superpowers,” Gracie Abrams with “I Love You, I’m Sorry,” Ángela Aguilar with “Cielito Lindo,” Tyla with “Push 2 Start,” Erykah Badu with “Annie,” and aespa closing everything off with “Whiplash.”
In a statement made ahead of the event, Billboard Chief Brand Officer Dana Droppo described Billboard Women In Music 2025 as a celebration of “the incredible women who continue to drive innovation, inspire change, and reshape the future of music.” Similarly, Billboard Editor-in-Chief Hannah Karp described this year’s honorees as “redefining what it means to be a trailblazer in the industry,” expressing Billboard’s honor to be able to “highlight their outstanding achievements and contributions through unforgettable performances, powerful tributes, and an evening that will truly shine a spotlight on their impact.” “It’s a privilege to continue Billboard’s tradition of recognizing the women who are pushing the boundaries of music and culture, and we can’t wait to share this incredible night with our global audience.”
