The Bobapalooza Music and Arts Festival has announced their first wave of performers leading up to their event dates on February 24 and 25, 2024 at the Filinvest City Event Grounds, Alabang, Metro Manila. The festival also revealed the number of acts on their lineup, which includes two international headliners, two local headliners, and 18 major local acts. They also hosted a battle of the bands competition titled Boba Brawl in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The winners of each leg will be given the opportunity to perform in the festival along with a P25,000 cash prize. The winner of the Mindanao leg is Inside City while the Visayas leg champion is Crazymoon. The Luzon winner will be crowned this November 18 at Baked Studios, Makati.
Bobapalooza also released their list of Boba Discoveries, which are up-and-coming bands that will serve as the official opening acts for the festival. Joining Crazymoon and Inside City are Project Romeo, Halina, Criminal Cinema, Nemic, and Sub Projekt. The festival also announced that they will be giving backstage passes to five participants who can guess the most number of acts on the lineup before they are released. The festival’s previous performers include Ebe Dancel, Urbandub, Franco, The Itchyworms, Parokya ni Edgar, Kamikazee, and December Avenue. During the 2023 edition of the festival, tickets were priced at P2,900 for regular admission and P4,200 for VIP tickets. It took place at the Globe Circuit Event Grounds last February 25.
