With a transport system as complicated as its traffic problem, Metro Manila deserves its own travel tutorial to help locals commute.

Fans must plow through congested roads if they want to arrive in time to watch their favorite music artists. Unfortunately, not everyone can afford to own or rent a private vehicle to head directly to a concert venue.

Billboard Philippines prepared this convenient concert guide to the metro’s commuting options, which though inconvenient are readily available and affordable to anyone on a budget.

Globe Circuit Event Grounds — Makati

One Ayala, linked to the MRT-3’s Ayala station, has a transportation hub with e-jeeps going straight to Circuit Makati. Alternatively, you can ride a PRC-bound jeep from LRT-1’s Gil Puyat station or MRT-3’s Magallanes station. You can then easily walk to Circuit from PRC.

New Frontier Theater — Quezon City

The Araneta Center-Cubao stations of the MRT-3 and LRT-2 are within walking distance of the New Frontier Theater. The simplest way to get to the venue is through the elevated bridge directly linking it and the Gateway Mall, which is accessible to both the MRT-3 and LRT-2.

Philippine Arena — Bulacan

Technically, this venue isn’t within Metro Manila but is fairly accessible to its people. It’s one trike away from Bocaue and Sta. Maria, which are accessible by bus from the SM North EDSA terminal, the TriNoma terminal, Cubao, and Monumento. Alternatively, Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) buses go to the North Luzon Express Terminal beside the Philippine Arena.

SM Aura Premier’s Samsung Hall — Taguig

From the MRT-3’s Ayala station, head down to the BGC bus terminal located behind the McKinley Exchange Corporate Center at the corner of EDSA and Ayala Avenue. Take any bus route that passes by Market! Market!, which is within walking distance from SM Aura. Samsung Hall can be found in the latter mall’s 6th floor.

Smart Araneta Coliseum — Quezon City

The Araneta Center-Cubao stations of the MRT-3 and LRT-2 are within walking distance of the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Find the nearby Gateway Mall’s air-conditioned garden “The Oasis” and take the adjacent escalator going down to the doors connecting to the venue.

SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena — Pasay

The simplest way to commute here is to board the southbound EDSA Carousel and alight at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA). Alternatively, one can ride a jeep to MOA accessible from the MRT-3’s Taft Avenue station and LRT-1’s EDSA station. The venue is visible and walkable upon arrival at the mall complex.

SMDC Festival Grounds — Parañaque

The venue is walkable from MOA, so one may simply commute to the said mall complex and then walk to the SMDC Festival Grounds from there.

The Filinvest Tent — Muntinlupa

Go to Starmall Alabang by taking a bus from One Ayala or Starmall EDSA-Shaw. From there, ride a Zapote-bound jeep then alight at Northgate or simply walk all the way to the venue.
