Clara Benin‘s dream pop track “small town,” from her 2023 album befriending my tears, has been given a new twist with an indie pop spin.

Last August 28, Clara Benin premiered a new music video to accompany the release of the track’s “CRWN’s crying in the parking lot edit.” The title of this remix is a subtle nod to the track’s lyrics where the artist sings, “I’m crying in the parking lot, while you’re out to buy a latte.” The video features a wistful Benin wandering through the alleged “small town.” It’s sweet and sentimental, featuring a warm color grading and nostalgic grain.

Benin had previously performed “small town” on Billboard Philippines Soundwave, which you can revisit here. The original version of the song was previously released on April 23 of last year. Her most recent drop prior to the remix was “Can’t Wait to See You on Christmas Day,” a festive tune that was rolled out on last November 17.

The bedroom pop artist is also set to perform in Sydney with indie artist, Ena Mori, later this year in October for SXSW Sydney
