American indie band Cigarettes After Sex are set to arrive in Manila this January 14 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The concert is part of the X’s World Tour, which was revealed last night via the band’s social media pages. The tour will kick off in Montreal, Quebec on August 31. The Asia leg of the tour will open in January 9 of next year in Hong Kong. They will then stop over in Kuala Lumpur, then Manila, followed by Jakarta and Bangkok before heading to South Africa and then finally wrapping up in Australia.

X’s, the album, will be arriving on July 12. The record’s first single titled “Tejano Blue” was also released on the same day as the tour announcement (February 29, Philippine time). Early access for the tickets will be made available during the artist pre-sale this March 5. General ticket sales will go live on March 8 at 10AM local time. Ticketing details for the Asia stops however are still yet to be revealed. The band also shared that they will be announcing additional dates for South America and the Middle East soon.

This is their first time back in the country since 2018, where UDD (then Up Dharma Down) joined them as the opening act.

In an Instagram post about the album, the band wrote, “[F]eels so beautiful to finally announce our next album X’s which is coming out on [J]uly 12th. [Y]ou can pre-order it now & get access to the tour pre-sale. [T]he first single “Tejano Blue” is out everywhere today. [T]ruly love you all forever & always.”
