Filipino alt-rock group Sandwich are releasing their 1999 album, Grip Stand Throw album on vinyl.

Remastered for vinyl by Shinji Tanaka at Kodama Studio, pre-orders for the vinyl are now available via The Grey Market Records and Backspacer Records, priced at PHP 2,500. The vinyl package also comes with a ticket to Sandwich’s 25th anniversary gig at Mandaluyong’s 123 Block.

The announcemement comes after Sandwich intiially releasing a cryptic video on their social media platforms that features a moving carousel of the album’s cover art, followed by their original band logo “< S >”, and closing it off with the information “123 Block, 11/25/23.” Backed by the title track, “Grip Stand Throw,” the video teaser had fans of the group beginning to theorize immediately what this announcement was specifically referring to.

Sandwich has been active in the Philippine rock scene since their formation in 1998, and Grip Stand Throw was their first full-length album released in 1999 under BMG Pilipinas. Since then, the group has released seven more albums and one extended play record. The band also played Grip Stand Throw in its entirety in a show held last February 26, 2023 at Eastside by Sandugo in Marikina City, to celebrate the band’s 25th anniversary.

Just recently, Sandwich released a new single titled “Ibang Araw Na Lang” under PolyEast Records, which is now available to stream in its entirety below:
