BINI are still on a hit-making roll, as exemplified by their latest single “Cherry On Top.”
The newly released P-pop track is a certified bop that highlights the group’s endless charm and flirtatious energy, evoking a sweet auditory sensation that will surely delight their rapidly growing fanbase of Blooms.
For “Cherry On Top,” the beloved girl group collaborated with internationally recognized composers GG Ramirez (BTS, TWICE, JoJo, &Team), Boy Matthews (TWICE, Aespa, Zayn, Teddy Swims), Shintaro Yasuda (Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, Backstreet Boys, LE SSERAFIM, XG), and Skylar Mones (Rihanna, Dua Lipa, Flo Rida, Kesha). Yet beyond songwriting, the latter two also co-produced the track. Together with the song, the nation’s girl group dropped the highly-anticipated music video on their official YouTube account, which you can view in its entirety below.
The group performed the track live for the first time during their BINIverse concert series held the other week at the New Frontier Theatre in Quezon City. During the show, the group also shared a short snippet of the music video with the audience in attendance. From what was released, the video showcases the group in a vibrant fictional town called ‘Cherry Town’ where the newspaper headline reports a “Strange fever going on in Cherry Town.”
Since their official debut in 2021, BINI have been composed of Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena — all of whom have been making waves in both the local and international music scenes with their recent string of chart-topping hits, which includes “Karera,” “Pantropiko,” and “Salamin, Salamin.”
