SB19, Cup of Joe, IV OF SPADES, Maki, And More Announced As Awit Awards Nominees
The 39th Awit Awards is set to honor the Philippines’ most beloved and acclaimed musical acts this September.

This year’s Awit Awards just released its official list of nominees for its awards ceremony, which happens on September 15, 2026, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Currently celebrating its 57th year, the Awit Awards was first held in 1969. After being discontinued in 1972, the Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI) brought back the ceremony in 1988. Since then, the awards ceremony has continued in its mission of “acknowledging excellence within the Philippine recording industry” and spotlighting “artists, composers, producers, performers, and technical creatives whose work contributes to the continuing growth and legacy of Original Pilipino Music.”
Now in its 39th edition, the Awit Awards announced last April that it would be adding three new categories: Best New Artist, Songwriter of the Year, and Producer of the Year among the ceremony’s Grand Awards. On August 6, 2026, the music awards announced their official list of nominees on social media.
