1621BC are bringing forth a new era of their artistry with their comeback single, titled “Bagamundo.”

The six-piece P-pop group comprised of JM, JC, Pan, Win, Migz, and DJ embraces a bolder (and braver) side of themselves on the newly released track, which highlights their own determination to rise above life’s challenges to work their way towards achieving their dreams.

Yet even with the track’s catchy, upbeat, and easy-listening nature, the production from Perry Lansigan, Kiko ‘KIXX’ Salazar, and Derick ‘OC-J’ Gernale, alongside supervising production from StarPop’s label head Roque “Rox” Santos adds a unique edge that makes for an empowering listen to listeners nationwide.

In an official press statement, 1621BC mentions that the story is one of resilience. “It’s about a story of achieving one’s dream through years of travel and developing the most interesting individual characters who strive hard in pursuing their dream of becoming somebody someday,” the group shared.

“Bagamundo” marks the latest entry in the group’s “Dream Maker” journey on the scene, following the release of their eponymous debut EP last year –– which spawned the viral singles “Ikaw at Ikaw” and “Laruan.” With their unique yet intriguing stage moniker, the name itself symbolizes an angel manifestation number to bring one’s desires and dreams to life, while BC means beyond complete.

Just a few months back, 1621BC were nominated for “Best New Performance by a Group” at the 37th Awit Awards, and were recently awarded the special award of ‘P-POP Potential’ at the P-Pop Music Awards 2024, held at the New Frontier Theater last December 28, 2024.
