Knocked Loose have officially taken the Billboard charts by storm.

On May 21, following the release of their now-critically acclaimed third album You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To, the American metal/hardcore icons have officially unveiled their peak rankings on a total of 8 Billboard charts. Announcing the news on their social media, they proudly revealed that they have managed to reach #1 on 4 of these charts.

The rankings of You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To per chart are as follows:

  • #1 – Independent Albums
  • #1 – Current Rock Albums
  • #1 – Current Hard Music Albums
  • #1 – Record Label Independent Current Albums
  • #2 – Vinyl Albums
  • #2 – Album Sales
  • #4 – Digital Albums
  • #23 – Billboard 200

In particular, the band’s peak position on the US Billboard 200 at #23 is of significant note given that their widely acclaimed sophomore full-length A Different Shade of Blue, released in 2019, previously peaked at #26 on the very same chart. The new album is noted for its much darker tone and even heavier instrumentation compared to the band’s previous material, a particular characteristic commonly praised by critics since its release. It is also the band’s first one to feature guitarist Nicko Calderon who joined in 2020.

Prior to to the album’s release, the band, composed of Calderon, vocalist Bryan Garris, bassist Kevin Otten, drummer Kevin “Pacsun” Kaine, and guitarist Isaac Hale, put out three singles: “Blinding Faith”“Don’t Reach For Me”, and “Suffocate” with experimental artist Poppy.

Presently, Knocked Loose are on a headline tour of North America with fellow heavy bands Show Me The Body, Loathe, as well as Speed. The band is set to commemorate the release of You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To with two hometown shows in Louisville, Kentucky this June 14 and 15. They will be joined by a plethora of opening acts: Poison the Well, White Reaper, Division of Mind, Superheaven, Trash Talk, as well as Psycho-Frame. Meanwhile, from August to September of this year, the band is set to offer direct support to nu-metal veterans Slipknot on their 25th anniversary tour in North America. They will be joined by Orbit Culture and Vended.
