Without a doubt, P-pop sensations BINI are on the rise lately.

From becoming the first honorees of the Billboard Philippines Women In Music “Rising Star” award to attaining the honor of being the Filipino pop proup with the most monthly listeners last March 19 with, at that time, 1.4 million and counting, the girl group show absolutely no signs of slowing down. As of March 30, they have now added another major milestone to their already start-studded journey – achieving the feat of becoming the top OPM female artist on Spotify Philippines for the very first time.

They share this incredible honor with the likes of Illest Morena, Denise Julia, Janine, Nica Del Rosario, and all-time record-holder of the title, Moira Dela Torre, the very first recipient of the Billboard Philippines Women In Music “Hitmaker” award. As of April 1, the “Salamin, Salamin” (Mirror, Mirror) hitmakers have now held the position for 3 days and counting – starting at number 18 on March 30 and currently sitting at number 16. As of April 2, they also have more than 2 million monthly listeners on Spotify already.

Adding to this monumental achievement, BINI’s label, Star Music, has also officially announced today, April 2, that the “Pantropiko” phenoms have also just sold out their first ever solo concert “BINIVERSE”, just less than two hours after ticket selling promptly started. Their now sold-out concert is set to happen this coming June 28 at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.

Most recently, the octet released their first EP Talaarawan (Diary), containing the hit tracks “Pantropiko” (Tropical), “Karera” (Race), and its lead track, the aforementioned “Salamin, Salamin”.

Last March 22 at the Samsung Hall in SM Aura, Taguig, during their acceptance speech upon receiving their “Rising Star” award at the first ever Billboard Philippines Women In Music Awards, the 8-member girl group closed out their spiel by promising to give their very best and to bring P-pop to the global stage. “We will still continue to strive for excellence at dadalhin po natin ang P-pop sa world stage. Hindi lang po namin ni-re-represent ang group namin kung ‘di lahat po ng P-pop groups po sa ating bansa.

[“We will still continue to strive for excellence and we will all bring P-pop to the world stage. We’re not only representing our group but all the P-pop groups in our country.]
