It’s official! BINI world domination is in effect.
As of today (April 23), for the week of April 27, the Nation’s Girl Group BINI have set the bar for every single P-pop group as they have now officially topped Billboard‘s Philippines Songs Chart with their viral summer hit “Pantropiko”. They are the first ever P-pop group to ever achieve this historic feat. Alongside this, their hit track “Salamin, Salamin”, the third single from their first EP Talaarawan, is also currently charting at number 4 on the chart.
Prior to this momentous milestone in their star-studded career, the group previously achieved the feat of becoming the most streamed OPM female artist on Spotify for the first time just earlier this month on April 1. Meanwhile, just last March, they received the honor of being the first ever recipients of the Billboard Philippines Women In Music “Rising Star” Award.
Most recently, the 8-piece were announced as one of the few Filipino acts set to be part of Music Matters Live 2024 in Singapore. They also recently garnered a whopping 8,000-strong crowd at one of their recent mall shows in support of their Talaarawan EP. In other news, the group is holding their first solo concert BINIVERSE this coming June. All three dates were completely sold-out in a matter of hours.
Earlier this year, in February, BINI also brought the “Pantropiko” fever to the Billboard Philippines Soundwave stage through a performance of the track which you can view here.
