Zae just scored her first Philippines Hot 100 hit.
This week (dated December 28, 2024), the Filipina rapper earned her first entry on the coveted music chart with her latest viral hit “SUBOMOTO” which ranks at No. 88.
“SUBOMOTO” was initially released last July and came as part of Zae’s string of single releases this year. Upon release, the track saw a music video which was executive produced by the rapper herself and directed by Xef Sarita and Neo Bautista. After rising in streams and making its rounds on social media, Zae teamed up with fellow viral hitmaker Hev Abi for a remix of “SUBOMOTO”. The track was also recently chosen as one of the best songs of 2024 by Billboard Philippines.
Both Zae and Hev Abi were part of the Pinoy Hip-Hop Class of 2024 — the cover stars of Billboard Philippines‘ first ever Hip-Hop Issue alongside fellow rising homegrown hip-hop artists O SIDE MAFIA, Tus Brothers, Felip, Hellmerry, PLAYERTWO, and Illest Morena.
The Billboard Philippines Hot 100 ranks the biggest songs in the country, based on streaming data (both audio and video) collected by data provider Luminate. The chart encompasses tracks by both Filipino and international acts. The Hot 100 is one of Billboard Philippines‘ official music charts, alongside the Top Philippine Songs chart. Both charts are updated weekly every Wednesday.
