Rob Deniel is now a certified chart-topper, not merely in one instance — but twice.
Viva Records‘ dashing young crooner achieved his second entry on Billboard Philippines‘ Top Philippine Songs chart (dated August 3, 2024) with his 2023 hit single “Miss, Miss.” This follows after his debut entry on the chart with “RomCom,” which appeared on the first iteration of Billboard Philippines‘ charts at No. 23. Deniel’s songs also appear within the Top 50 of this week’s chart rankings, with “Miss, Miss” at No. 37, while “RomCom” ranks at the No. 48 position.
Aside from Rob Deniel’s exciting new entry within the Top Philippine Songs chart, another standout name that has made their debut within the Top 25 includes independent alt-pop group Over October, whose viral hit song “Ikot” enters the charts at No. 22. Notable movements within the chart include Dionela and Jay R‘s “Sining” snagging the top dog position of No. 1, bumping off Maki‘s four-week reign at the peak of the charts for “Dilaw.” Eliza Maturan stands as this week’s biggest jumper, rising from the No. 24 position last week to jump up a few spots shy away from the Top 10 at No. 11. At the same time, the nation’s girl group BINI continues to dominate the majority of the spots within the Top 10, occupying six of the ten spots with “Salamin, Salamin,” “Pantropiko,” “Cherry On Top,” “Karera,” and “Lagi.”
Deniel’s fellow Viva Records labelmates on the Top Philippine Songs chart include Cup of Joe and Janine Teñoso, whose longstanding hit song “Tingin” ranks at the No. 13 position this week, while Arthury Nery’s “Take All The Love” stands at No. 15. The prominent presence of four of Viva’s most prominent young musicians on the chart showcases the label’s consistent hold on Filipino listeners all around the country.
Billboard Philippines‘ Top Philippine Songs chart is the country’s music chart that focuses exclusively on Filipino songs, spotlighting the most notable as well as fast-rising musical acts and their songs from all over the Philippines.
