It’s NIKI‘s world, and Filipino listeners are yearning for it as this week, multiple songs from the Indonesian singer-songwriter are charting on the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 chart, dated July 25, 2026.
With the rainy season slowly entering the picture, many Filipino listeners continue to revel in their heartaches. The easiest way to feel all the emotions is, of course, through music, and NIKI’s songs have always soundtracked modern Filipino longing, as reflected on social media.
Kicking it off with the gut-wrenching anthem for the second option and the backup plan, “Backburner” sits at No. 25, rising from the No. 31 spot the previous week. It has stayed consistently on the chart for 79 weeks, as of this writing.
Her 2019 track “lowkey” currently sits at No. 54, leaping from No. 65 the previous week. A song about enjoying an undefined and intimate romantic connection, “lowkey” is made for the ones scared to risk making their relationship public.
Just below it is “The Apartment We Won’t Share,” re-entering at No. 55. The heartbreaking indie-folk ballad is heavy on the “what ifs,” unrealized futures, and broken promises that amplify the grief towards a life with an ex-partner that will never come to fruition.
Not too far behind is “Take A Chance With Me” at No. 71. The song about unrequited love and hoping to be pursued for a romantic relationship leaps from No. 80 the previous week.
Last but definitely not least is a popular NIKI track about letting go and closing the door for good. “Oceans & Engines” finally makes its debut on the Hot 100 chart at No. 93.
