As of this week, Dionela and Jay R have officially been No. 1 on Billboard Philippines‘ Hot 100 for four weeks now.
On August 21, Billboard Philippines revealed its chart rankings for the week of August 24, 2024. On the Billboard Philippines Hot 100, “sining” — the viral collaboration single between the two R&B hitmakers — continues its reign at No. 1 on the chart for the fourth week in a row. At the same time, it also attains this incredible feat on Billboard Philippines‘ Top Philippine Songs chart this week as well. The track first simultaneously reached No. 1 on both charts during the week of August 3, 2024.
This achievement makes Dionela and Jay R officially tied with Maki and his own viral hit “Dilaw” — currently at No. 2 on both charts this week — with having the longest time spent at No. 1 on both of Billboard Philippines’ official music charts. To date, they are the only artists who have managed to do this. Should the consistent rise in popularity of “sining” continue in the next few days, Dionela and Jay R will undeniably be on track to set a new record for the longest chart-topper on both the Hot 100 and the Top Philippine Songs.
Meanwhile, three of Dionela’s other tracks also continue to achieve positions within the Hot 100’s rankings, namely “Hoodie” featuring Alisson Shore at No. 28, “Musika” at No. 36, and “Oksihina” at No. 55.
For the rest of the Hot 100’s top 10 this week, P-pop girl group BINI holds the most spots with “Salamin, Salamin” at No. 5, “Pantropiko” at No. 7, “Cherry On Top” at No. 8, and “Karera” at No. 10.
Meanwhile, Billie Eilish holds onto No. 3 with “BIRDS OF A FEATHER,” followed closely by Sabrina Carpenter‘s “Please Please Please” at No. 4 while TJ Monterde‘s “Palagi” is at No. 6. Rounding it all off is Chappell Roan‘s “Good Luck Babe” at No. 9, which finally broke into the Hot 100’s top 10 after a steady rise through its rankings in the past weeks.
Billboard Philippines‘ Hot 100 chart tracks the most prominent and most popular songs in the Philippines from both local and international artists. It serves as one of Billboard Philippines’ official music charts, alongside the Top Philippine Songs chart. Updated every week, the Hot 100 ranks the top 100 tracks in the country using both audio and streaming data gathered and organized by the leading music and entertainment data provider, Luminate.
