Sixty-three years since the track’s initial release, Connie Francis‘ “Pretty Little Baby” has made its way to the Billboard Philippines charts.

The surprising deep cut from Francis’ discography has made its way to the No. 99 spot of the Philippines Hot 100 charts, showcasing its immense appeal among millions of listeners nationwide. Though the track had never reached the same heights as her other hits such as “Stupid Cupid” and “Who’s Sorry Now” over the last few years, the newfound virality of “Pretty Little Baby” could be heavily attributed to its usage across several social media platforms.

Thousands of TikTok users began to utilize the track’s verse of “You can ask the flowers/ I sit for hours/ Telling all the bluebirds/ The bill and coo birds/ Pretty little baby, I’m so in love with you” in various videos –– some of which featured users lip-syncing or singing the song to actual babies. Even here in the Philippines, various notable figures such as BINI‘s Maloi, Andrea Brillantes, Ashtine Olvega, and MNL48‘s Cole, have partaken in the trend, which in turn has inspired several of their followers to do the same.

Elsewhere on the Billboard Philippines Hot 100, other new entries include BTS Jin’s new single “Don’t Say You Love Me” from his latest record ECHO, which stands at the No. 25 spot of the chart. Ed Sheeran’s song “Dive” also makes its debut on the chart at No. 76, alongside two Rico Blanco tracks, “Balisong – Transformed” and “Antukin”, at No. 88 and No. 92 on the chart. Lastly, Sombr’s single “Undressed” caps off the Philippines Hot 100 at the No. 100 spot.

This week’s Top 10 on the charts tells another story, with its first half remaining unchanged since last week. Cup of Joe still reign supreme at No. 1 with “Multo”, followed by Earl Agustin’s “Tibok” at No. 2, NIKI’s cover of “You’ll Be In My Heart” at No. 3, HELLMERRY’s “My Day” at No. 4, and Dionela’s “Marilag” at No. 5.

Amiel Sol’s “Sa Bawat Sandali” moves a spot up to the No. 6 position, while Ariana Grande and Troye Sivan’s “supernatural” jumps up as well to the No. 7 place. Cup of Joe and Janine Teñoso’s “Tingin” still stands at No. 8, while JENNIE’s “like JENNIE” moves down to No. 9. And making its first time to the Top 10 of the Philippines Hot 100 is Earl Agustin’s “Dalangin” at the No. 10 position.
