The brat fever is making its way to the Billboard Philippines’ Hot 100 chart (dated August 17, 2024).

Charli XCX makes her debut on the Hot 100 chart with the viral hit “Apple” — which finds its place at the No. 86 spot. The track has garnered newfound popularity since its original release alongside the rest of her critically acclaimed album brat earlier in June, with credit to its prevalent use on social media apps like TikTok and Instagram — particularly with the dance challenge to the track. Several local and international celebrities have participated in the challenge, including Donny Pangilinan, Andrea Brillantes, Niana Guerrero, RIIZE‘s Shotaro, as well as actors Glen Powell, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Anthony Ramos, and more.

Beyond the entry of Charli XCX’s “Apple” on the chart, other notable debuts on this week’s Hot 100 chart update include Chappell Roan‘s “Casual,” BTS Jimin’s “Be Mine,” and Bruno Mars’s “When I Was Your Man.” At the peak of the Hot 100 still lies Dionela and Jay R’s “Sining,” with Maki’s “Dilaw,” Billie Eilish‘s “BIRDS OF A FEATHER,” Sabrina Carpenter‘s “Please, Please, Please, and BINI‘s string of hits that include “Salamin, Salamin,” “Cherry On Top.” and “Pantropiko.”

The Billboard Philippines Hot 100 ranks the biggest songs in the country, based on streaming data (both audio and video) collected by data provider Luminate. The chart encompasses tracks by both Filipino and international acts. The Hot 100 is one of Billboard Philippines‘ official music charts, alongside the Top Philippine Songs chart. Both charts will be updated weekly every Wednesday.
