The Nation’s Girl Group, BINI, have been bestowed the most prestigious award at Billboard Philippines Women In Music: The Executive Edition — the Women of the Year Award. Following their recent acclamations as the Philippines’ No. 1 Artist of 2024, earning the Best Asia Act award at the 2024 MTV EMAs, and more, the group has deservedly accepted this award as a culmination of their very momentous and successful year.

Passing the torch of representing powerful women in Philippine music, pop royalty Sarah Geronimo presented the award to its new recipients, as she had previously been celebrated as Billboard Philippines’ Woman of the Year in 2024, making her mark as the first ever awardee of this grand category.

In her speech presenting the award, the pop star stated, “From their chart-topping hits and groundbreaking influence on OPM, hanggang sa pag-captivate nila sa libu-libong tagahanga at tagapakinig sa buong mundo, ipinakita talaga nila kung ano ang kahulugan ng pag-angat ng artistry ng Pilipino.

(From their chart-topping hits and groundbreaking influence on OPM to their ability to captivate audiences around the world, they’ve shown us what it truly means to elevate Filipino artistry.)

Upon receiving the award, BINI said in a shared statement, “Last year, we were very honored na makatanggap ng (to receive the) Rising Star Award galing sa (from) Billboard Philippines. Back then, we were simply dreaming of bigger things, hoping to make a mark, and now, [we are] standing here as Women of the Year. Truly, God works quietly.”

Woman Of The Year is the highest award at Billboard’s annual Women In Music event and is seen as a prestigious honor given to women who have made significant contributions to the music industry and who continue to exemplify excellence through their hard work. In the past, the award was given to the likes of Taylor SwiftBeyoncé, Madonna, Ariana Grande, and more at the Billboard Women In Music awards in the US.
