BINI are set to transport South Korea to an islang pantropiko.
Later today (August 27, 2024), the Nation’s Girl Group will be performing a medley of “Cherry On Top” and “Pantropiko” at Billboard Korea‘s Billboard K POWER 100 event. This comes after fans’ clamor for a performance of “Pantropiko,” which is undeniably BINI’s biggest hit yet, at the coveted event.
Beyond performing at Billboard K POWER 100, which is happening at THE SHILLA Seoul, BINI will also be receiving the Voices Of Asia Award. The girl group was chosen to be given the award by Billboard Philippines, along with P-pop Kings SB19, for their significant contributions to P-pop and the Filipino music industry. Both groups come as the only Filipino acts to attend and be honored at the event.
BINI released “Cherry On Top” last July, following their EP Talaarawan, which featured chart-topping hits like “Salamin, Salamin” and of course, “Pantropiko.” The latter was initially released as a single in November 2023 but only gained popularity earlier this year, after sparking dance trends on TikTok. The track is BINI’s most successful song to date, amassing millions of streams and remaining in the Top 10 of the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 and Top Philippine Songs charts week after week.
