Spotify introduces a new feature that offers guided workout experiences for its users — bringing fitness into the same playing field within the streaming platform such as music, podcasts, audiobooks, and video.

Partnering with the American fitness company Peloton, curated playlists (under the “fitness” genre) can now be accessed by both free and premium users. Along with this, content from renowned and established wellness creators, such as Yoga with Kassandra, Caitlin K’eli Yoga, Sweaty Studio, Chloe Ting Home Workouts, and Pilates Body by Raven, is also available.

Premium users will have access to over 1,400 ad-free and on-demand classes on top of their existing subscription to the platform. This includes various fitness-related activities such as outdoor runs, cardio, strength training, yoga, and meditation — all without the need for special equipment.

With this addition, Spotify aims to make it accessible, flexible, and a way for users to easily integrate their workouts into their usual daily routines.

“For nearly two decades, Spotify has been the soundtrack to the world’s workouts,” says Roman Wasenmüller, VP, Global Head of Podcasts, Spotify. “But listening was only the beginning. Today, we are expanding Spotify to become a true daily wellness companion.”

Here’s how you can kickstart your workout journey on Spotify, with Premium users having access to the full collection:

  • Open the Spotify app on mobile, desktop, or on your TV.
  • Search “fitness” to access the Fitness hub and browse all content.
  • Explore classes and curated playlists that you feel are the perfect session for you and your fitness goals.

Currently, workouts are available in English, with options in Spanish and German. Classes can also be downloaded for offline access, so you can take your workout anywhere and anytime.

The experience is as seamless and flexible as what you’d expect. You can start a video workout on your TV, then head for a run and switch to an audio workout.
