SB19’s justin is confirmed to make a special participation in Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre, the upcoming spinoff of GMA’s fantasy franchise Encantadia.

In a news feature on 24 Oras, the “surreal” singer is seen doing a look test for the series, wearing his character’s costume. However, it is still yet unknown which character he would be playing.

The P-pop idol joins a roster of special guests including Ruru Madrid, Rocco Nacino, Michelle Dee, Mikee Quintos, Kate Valdez, and Derrick Monasterio.

This wouldn’t be the first time justin traded his singing chops for acting. Last year, he made his acting debut with a special brief appearance as Jared in Senior High, the ABS-CBN youth-oriented series which starred Andrea Brillantes, Elijah Canlas, Juan Karlos and Kyle Ecchari.

Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre follows Bianca Umali as Terra, a half-human who discovers she is the daughter of Danaya, the youngest of the four Sang’gre sisters and the keeper of the Earth Gem. Raised in the human world and fighting as a superhero named “Sang’gre,” Terra must embrace her destiny to protect Encantadia alongside her allies: Flamarra (Faith Da Silva), Deia (Angel Guardian), and Diwang (Kelvin Miranda).

The spinoff series also reunites the 2016 reboot lead cast of Encantadia: Glaiza de Castro as Pirena, Kylie Padilla as Amihan, Sanya Lopez as Danaya, and Gabbi Garcia as Alena.

Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre debuts on the GMA Network on June 16.

Earlier this year, Justin released a collaborative single with dwta, “Sampung Mga Daliri.”
