The upcoming Oasis reunion promises to bring the whole shebang. Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher have announced Live ’25, a reunion tour film documenting their much-awaited first live appearance in 16 years since their split in 2009.
The film will be produced by Steven Knight, creator of the hit crime drama Peaky Blinders. The film will be directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, who made Shut Up and Play the Hits, about LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy, and Meet Me in the Bathroom, which explores the early 2000s New York music scene with bands like The Strokes, LCD Soundsystem, Interpol, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
As of this writing, no release date or further details about the contents of the documentary have been announced.
Oasis were also featured on the 2016 documentary, Oasis: Supersonic, distributed by A24, which chronicles the band’s meteoric rise and epic implosion. Additionally, 2007’s Lord Don’t Slow Me Down, Oasis’ first-ever tour film, reflects on the band’s ‘Don’t Believe The Truth tour’ from 2005 to 2006.
The ‘Oasis Live ’25’ Tour will kick off on July 4 in Cardiff, Wales, and conclude on November 23 in São Paulo, Brazil. The supporting acts include the English indie rock band Cast, Richard Ashcroft, and the American rock band Cage the Elephant.
