The five-piece girl group NJZ (formerly NewJeans) teams up with Coca-Cola and Billboard Korea to reinterpret the iconic “I Feel Coke” song for a new generation with a new campaign advertisement.”

On Instagram, Billboard Korea posted a video reel showcasing individual posters of Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein, illustrated by artist Banzisu. The song debuted in 1987 in Japan with various Japanese singers, reflecting the country’s economic boom in the 1980s. It later made waves in South Korea and became the official jingle for the 1988 Seoul Olympics and now gets a fresh spin for a new generation.

Filmed in January, the commercial features NJZ’s new rendition, marking their first music release since rebranding earlier this year following their contract termination with ADOR and HYBE last November. Just last week, NJZ attended the first hearing regarding the injunction filed by ADOR, which seeks to restrict the group pursuing independent brand deals and other creative endeavors. On March 13, over 30,000 fans submitted a petition urging the court to reject the label’s request.

Now, NJZ is gearing up for a brand new era. The group will preview new music at ComplexCon from March 21 to 23, marking their first performance since rebranding. In a press release, Minji called it a major milestone, saying, “We can’t wait for fans to join us on this journey and finally share the music we’ve been so eager to reveal.”
