Attention Filipino ARMYs, this is a reminder that BTS’ SUGA, also known as Agust D, is coming to a big screen near you this April.

First announced via BTS’ official social media accounts and through a video from the BTS member himself last March 5, a so-called “cinematic cut” of the BTS member’s SUGA | Agust D TOUR ‘D-DAY’ THE FINAL, is coming to cinemas worldwide this April 10 and 13.

Entitled SUGA│Agust D TOUR ‘D-DAY’ THE MOVIE, the film documents the three-day closer for the award-winning rapper’s first world tour, SUGA | AGUST D TOUR ‘D-DAY’, which was held in support of his debut album D-Day, released last April 21, 2023. The tour saw more than 300,000 fans in attendance across all dates. For ARMYs in the Philippines, tickets to the movie’s showing in local cinemas can still be availed by the film’s official website.

The aforementioned tour finale that the film showcases was held at the KSPO Dome in Seoul last August 4-6, 2023 and featured individual surprise appearances by the “Haegeum” hitmaker’s co-BTS members, Jungkook, Jimin, and RM. Fellow BTS members J-Hope and Jin, who were currently serving their mandatory military service at that time, were also in attendance in the audience. Following the concert, SUGA subsequently announced his intention to immediately fulfill his own mandatory military service, promptly starting to carry it out beginning last September 22, 2023.

D-Day was released last April 21, 2023, a few days prior to the start of the acclaimed rapper’s first world tour on April 26, 2023, in New York City. It debuted at number 2 on the Billboard 200 charts and features special participation from fellow BTS member j-hope, IU, Ryuichi Sakamoto, as well as Woosung from The Rose. The album — which features tracks like “AMYGDALA” and “Polar Night” takes listeners through intimate moments of the rapper’s personal journey, some of which was previously recounted in his previous albums, D-2 and AGUST D.
