“Museo” by Eliza Maturan is officially part of the soundtrack of a major film.

On November 19, the viral singer-songwriter announced through her official social media that her breakout hit single “Museo” had been chosen to be part of the soundtrack for My Future You, a romantic comedy about two individuals living in different timelines, starring Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin. It marks the official film debut of Diaz and Fedelin together.

Helmed by director Crisanto B. Aquino and produced by Regal Entertainment, the film is an official entry to the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival — an annual film festival that began in 1975. The movie will be premiering in theaters across the Philippines starting December 25, 2024 (Wednesday).

Released just last April 2024, Eliza Maturan’s “Museo” saw a meteoric rise in the past few months, thanks in huge part to virality on TikTok and BINI member Colet sharing the song on her social media on multiple occasions. This would eventually lead to Maturan gaining a number of major milestones in her career this year, including entering the top 10 of Billboard Philippines‘ Hot 100 and Top Philippine Songs charts.

“Sa totoo lang, parang nakalutang pa ako ngayonIlang months na siyang rising, pero parang hindi pa rin nag-si-sink in hanggang ngayon (To be honest, it’s like I’m floating right now. It’s been rising for a few months now but it still hasn’t sunk in yet until now.),” stated Maturan in an exclusive interview with Billboard Philippines when asked how she felt about the success of the track.

Following its release and eventual viral status, “Museo” has since been followed up by two singles, “Sisig” and “Pagbilang ng Tatlo.”
