DAYDREAM‘s very own Kiara Dario is set to take the stage as Gigi in the upcoming run of Miss Saigon here in Manila.

Dario, who has had an extensive background in the world of musical theatre, will be joining the announced cast together with Filipino-Australian Abigail Adriano, Seann Miley Moore, and Nigel Huckle as the main ensemble of the cast. The 19 year-old Adriano will be portraying the lead role of Kim for the second time, following her performance run as the same character in the Sydney Opera House run of Miss Saigon.

For the P-pop singer, this role follows her titular performance in Repertory Philippines’ Snow White and the Prince which began its initial run last September up until December. Her other credits in the realm of musical theatre include her first role with Camp Rock (Repertory Philippines), Joseph The Dreamer (Trumpets), the massively successful jukebox musical Ang Huling El Bimbo, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Annie (Resorts World Manila); Flashcard Tangle, as well as How We Got On (C.A.S.T.).

Aside from her endeavors in theatre, Dario has been a member of the P-Pop trio (formerly quartet) DAYDREAM, who are currently signed to Underdog Music PH since 2023. Under their new label, the group has released two singles, “STAY STUCK” which dropped last June and their most recent release “Make Me Better” which came out last November.

As both P-pop and musical fans celebrate this announcement, they can look forward to GMG Production’s Philippine run of Miss Saigon which will begin this March 23, 2024 at the Theatre at Solaire in Parañaque City, and will run until May 5. Laurence Connor is set to direct all the shows, with musical staging to be prepared by Bob Avian and additional choreography presented by Geoffrey Garratt.
