Barbie AlmalbisNot That Girl is getting the vinyl treatment.

Following the album’s release on streaming and digital platforms last week, the beloved Filipina rock icon shared the news of the record’s upcoming release on the vinyl format yesterday (January 14). “[I’m] very excited about this!!!,” said Almalbis on her official social media accounts. “Not That Girl on vinyl out soon from Backspacer Records!” it continued.

Though no further details with regard to its release date have been announced, Almalbis shared a special first look at the album’s forthcoming physical release, which has the record pressed in a limited edition colorway of red with black marble elements on the vinyl disc. The mock up perfectly complements the album’s gorgeous album cover artwork, which was painted by Almalbis’ husband Martin Honasan. Check out how it looks below:

Talking about the newly released record to Billboard Philippines, Almalbis discusses her influences on how faith, friendship, and heavy metal inspired the creation of Not That Girl. “I hope that people will somehow find hope or feel less alone [with this album], or, at least, find hope that they can be less alone,” she mentions, further adding, “It’s just a message that I needed as well, that we need these connections, and I hope others can be encouraged to find their people out there.”

In other OPM vinyl news, Ely Buendia also announced the upcoming release of his latest studio album Method Adaptor in the vinyl format, while Zild’s Superpower, bird’s Oshin, and BINI’s discography have seen recent releases on the format as well. Almalbis previously released her debut album Parade and her Tower Sessions Live performance on the format, with both records currently sold out.
