Teasing the atmosphere of the upcoming season, “Paint the Town Blue” was the first song to drop from this album. The single debuted on streaming platforms last September 5, preparing the audience for what they could expect from the rest of the soundtrack. The blaring trumpets, accompanied by an electrifying guitar riff, set the scene for the attention-grabbing and aggressive lyricism.
Drawing inspiration and characters from the popular online multiplayer game League of Legends (LoL), Arcane blew up as soon as it dropped on Netflix. The show follows the origin story of LoL champions and canonical sisters Jinx and Vi. Within its nine-episode run, the series awed audiences with its creative animation style, nuanced portrayal of the video game’s characters, and its impactful storytelling and world-building.
