R&B singer Jason Dhakal has announced that he will be embarking on his first-ever tour around Manila and Thailand this December.
Dhakal revealed the first wave of dates last night via Instagram. Among the dates for the tour include a stop in Thailand this December 15 for the 2023 edition of the Wonderfruit Festival. He will be performing at the Theatre Pavillion from 3:30-5:00 PM. Door charge and ticket details have yet to be released. Watch this space for more updates.
Dhakal went on to share that additional dates, stops, and surprise guests will be revealed soon. This is the singer’s first ever tour.
Earlier this year, Dhakal released his latest album titled BEING. In a review by Billboard Philippines, we wrote, “In its entirety, BEING is an example of the stark evolution that sees Dhakal assured in both identity and sound. Though he still retains a lot of the playful banter that drew us into his world, a warm embrace lingers from the album’s hold on its listeners.”
He also released a cover of Sitti’s “Para Sa Akin” (For Me). In a post celebrating its release, he wrote, “Loved listening to this track as a kid…one of the first songs that introduced me to the idea of bossa nova. So glad Warner asked me to do a cover. Everyone say thank you, Sitti!”
