Releasing her debut solo album Drive in 1997, Briolette Kah Bic Runga — more famously known as Bic Runga — is known for her music, which features pop, rock, and folk elements. The New Zealand singer can immediately be recognized for her single “Sway,” which debuted and maintained its stay on New Zealand’s RIANZ Singles Chart and Australia’s ARIA Charts for a total of 17 and 22 weeks, respectively. In 2006, she was appointed a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit (MNZM) for her service to music.
Ever since her debut, Runga has released six studio albums, with her latest, Red Sunset, released in February of this year, almost ten years after her prior album, Close Your Eyes.
