Canadian pop superstar Justin Bieber is set to join the likes of Madonna, Shakira, and BTS for the FIFA World Cup 2026 Halftime Show. The event will take place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

“The FIFA World Cup brings the world together in a way nothing else can,” Bieber said. “I’m grateful to be part of this Halftime Show, and even more grateful knowing it’s already helping expand access to education for children around the world.”

This occasion also marks the first time a FIFA World Cup will host a Super Bowl-style halftime show since the competition’s inception in 1930.

The halftime show, which will run for 11 minutes, will be curated by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, who announced the show’s musical lineup in a video posted by Global Citizen. Later announced to join the lineup were singer Burna Boy, LAPhil conductor Gustavo Dudamel, and New York elementary school chorus PS22 Chorus (ft. Coldplay).

The star-studded show will also help support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, “an initiative to expand access to quality education and sports for children worldwide.” So far the initiative has managed to raise over USD 50 million, nearing its goal of raising USD 100 million.

On the halftime show’s impact, FIFA President Gianni Infantino said, “When it comes to what the world needs, there is nothing more important than education. We are proud to have Justin Bieber joining Madonna, Shakira and BTS to co-headline the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show in support of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund and our mission to expand access to quality education and football opportunities for children around the world.”
