Munimuni officially released their newest single “Antipara” on May 8, a playful, upbeat call to be noticed by the person you admire.

Released under Underdog Music, “Antipara” continues the band’s signature indie folk sound, while exploring themes of admiration, vulnerability, and unseen affection. The track playfully invites listeners to “put on their glasses” and take a closer look at the feelings right in front of them.

The band first teased the track via Instagram on April 24 through a bright pink-and-red image defining the word “antipara” as “tabing o pansamantalang harang o takip; salamin sa mata, lalo na iyong ginagamit sa pagsisid.” Sparking immediate curiosity among fans, the song serves as the five-piece band’s first project after months of no releases.

Ahead of the drop, Munimuni also posted a series of humorous tips on Instagram on how to get your crush to notice you, while teasing key lyrics from the song: “Kita mo ba ako o malabo? / Kita mo ba itong mga mensahe ko? / Kita mo ba akong sumusulyap sayo? / Nanghihina ako sa kagandahan mo / Antipara, kailangan mo ba?” On May 3, the group also unveiled the cover art, referencing an eye test chart and matching the track’s recurring theme of sight.

Composed by Adj Jiao, John Owen Castro, Josh Tumaliuan, Jolo Ferrer, and Ben Ayes, “Antipara” marks Munimuni’s first release of the year, following their previous single “Maarum / Usad” from December 2025. They are yet to announce a follow-up to their 2024 album, Alegorya.

In the meantime, with its catchy repetition and relatable theme, “Antipara” adds another memorable track to Munimuni’s growing catalog.
