The road to WrestleMania is upon us. The first stop? The 2026 Royal Rumble. WWE has announced that the official theme song for the event is none other than Linkin Park‘s “Heavy Is the Crown,” from their eighth studio album, From Zero.
During the January 13, 2026 (PH time) episode of Monday Night Raw in Düsseldorf, Germany, WWE officially announced the theme song for the upcoming premium live event.
“Heavy Is the Crown” is the band’s second single with current vocalist Emily Armstrong, who took on vocal duties after the group’s years-long hiatus following the passing of Chester Bennington. The song was released in September 2024 and also served as the anthem for the 2024 League of Legends World Championship. Additionally, an abridged version featuring vocals by Armstrong and Mike Shinoda appeared on the Arcane Season 2 soundtrack.
Held annually since 1988, the Royal Rumble is one of the most anticipated marquee events in professional wrestling, highlighted by its signature 30-person Royal Rumble matches for both men and women. Beyond the superstars on the roster, the matches are known for surprise returns, special appearances, and unforgettable moments featuring legends, returning stars, and personalities such as Bad Bunny and iShowSpeed.
As of this writing, the matches announced include two Royal Rumble matches for the men and women, along with an Undisputed WWE Championship singles match featuring newly crowned champion Drew McIntyre, who is still awaiting an opponent. The No. 1 contender will be determined through a tournament featuring the likes of Randy Orton, Sami Zayn, Ilja Dragunov, and Damian Priest. McIntyre captured the title by defeating then-champion Cody Rhodes on the January 10, 2026 (PH time) episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
The 2026Royal Rumble event takes place at the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and will stream live on Netflix Philippines on February 1, 2026.
