UNIS are set to make another comeback just before 2025 ends with the release of their second Japanese digital single, titled “mwah… (Mwah…, 幸せにんかならないでね).”
The forthcoming single was initially teased by the group on their official SNS channel, wherein they clued fans in with hints such as an image of kitschy props, such as a teddy bear clock and a megaphone. They also revealed a new group photo echoing their new musical concept, teasing the visuals and track’s choreography with their pose of blowing a kiss at the camera.
“Mwah…” is scheduled to be released on various streaming and digital platforms worldwide this December 17, 2025, with its concept centered on “the playful heart of a girl in love.” It will feature lyrics and compositions by Japanese singer-songwriter KORESAWA, who is recognized for her viral hits “Dear Ex-Girlfriends,” “SSW,” and “My Life.”
Most recently, UNIS dropped their first Japanese single late in September with “Moshi Moshi,” and released a subsequent pair of tracks, “Shaking My Head” and “See You In My Dream.” Earlier this April, they dropped their second mini album, SWICY, which spawned the hit track of the same name. In an exclusive interview with Billboard Philippines, the beloved K-pop group opens up about their growth on the scene, their group milestones, and the process of bringing SWICY to life.
