Bringing its latest ULT POWER SOUND lineup to life on September 19, 2026, Sony Philippines transformed COVE Manila at Okada Manila into an immersive celebration of music, style, and powerful sound.
Beyond The Beat: The Next-Level ULT POWER SOUND Experience brought together industry guests, artists, creators, and fans for Sony Philippines’ biggest ULT POWER SOUND launch in the country yet. Across a night of interactive installations and appearances from the brand’s growing roster of artists and personalities, the event showcased how Sony Philippines’ latest speakers are designed to elevate how listeners experience music from their favorite artists.

The evening kicked off with a high-energy performance from the world renowned hip-hop dance crew, A-Team, setting the tone for what would be a packed night of music and entertainment. ULT Squad member and host Angelique Manto-Guison then welcomed guests to the experience, promising “bigger bass, bigger energy, and a whole lot of vibes” before introducing the evening’s star-studded lineup of performances.
With Sony Philippines’ ULT POWER SOUND series built around powerful bass and party-ready features, the night was designed to bring that same sense of scale and energy to the audience. As Manto-Guison put it, Sony is “bringing the concert to you.”
Turning Up The Volume With The New ULT Lineup
The product reveal began with opening remarks from Shuhei Sugihara, President and Managing Director of Sony Philippines, followed by a presentation from Keira Ambubuyog, Product Marketing Specialist of Sony Philippines, who introduced the newest additions to the ULT POWER SOUND family: the ULT TOWER 5, ULT TOWER 7, and ULT TOWER MAX.
The latest generation of ULT speakers is built around Sony’s focus on delivering deeper bass and powerful sound. Newly developed large circular woofers, large-capacity speaker cabinets, and ULT DUCT work together to enhance low-frequency performance across the lineup.
At the top of the range, the ULT TOWER MAX delivers the most powerful bass in the ULT POWER SOUND series. The ULT TOWER 7 brings stage-worthy sound in a more portable form, while the compact ULT TOWER 5 is designed for smaller gatherings, combining impressive bass and karaoke with DJ capabilities.

Rather than simply presenting the speakers onstage, Sony invited guests to experience them throughout the venue.
At Step into the Beat, an arcade-inspired setup paired stacked ULT Towers with a dance pad, turning the speakers themselves into part of the attraction. ULT Selfie Club offered another a photo opportunity, while ULT Cover Star combined the ULT Field speakers with designer pieces from Alser Lumawag, blending sound and fashion. Elsewhere, The Bass District provided a nightlife-inspired setting for KOLs and VIP guests, while the Karaoke Lounges gave attendees the chance to experience the speakers’ party-ready capabilities for themselves.
The presentation continued with Arbie Bandiling, Senior Marketing Communications Executive of Personal Audio Systems, who introduced the latest ULT Squad video and the artists and personalities representing the campaign. Soon after, the members of the ULT Squad took the stage one by one for a showcase that brought together music, fashion, and personality. A-Team, Carlos Serrano III, Jacqueline Jala, David Guison, Angelique Manto-Guison, Jeremy G, KAIA, and Maki made appearances, before the newest additions to the lineup — SB19 — spurred the COVE in deafening applause.
Building A Platform For Filipino Music
The ULT Squad showcase reflected Sony’s effort to connect its sound technology with a diverse group of Filipino artists and creatives.
Manila-based choreographer and movement artist Carlos Serrano III followed the opening performances with his swag-filled dance set, before musician-actor-host Jeremy G took the stage with charming covers of “Miss Miss” and “Risk It All.” The energy shifted into contemporary pop as P-pop girl group KAIA performed their no-miss discography, “Blah Blah,” “YOU DID IT,” “TANGA,” “Walkie Talkie,” and “hulog,” with the group’s bright performance style marking a refreshing contrast to the night.

As the event drew toward its close, Bandiling returned to the stage for closing remarks, highlighting Sony’s commitment to supporting Filipino artists and helping elevate the local music market.
“More than just expanding our product lineup for sales, part of our mission is to support and promote local Filipino talents and creatives,” the Sony executive explains. “Sony is a global brand, but we don’t limit our partnerships with just global personalities. We want to use that leverage to elevate our local market and talents.”

Reflecting on the performances that followed, Maki, one of the most recognizable young voices in the country’s current pop scene and a member of the ULT Squad, took the stage for “INDIGO (with u),” “habangbuhay pansamantala,”“luck,” and “Saan?“
For performers, having sound that can keep up with the demands of a live set is an important part of the experience — and Maki shared his perspective with Billboard Philippines on what makes Sony a strong fit for artists.
“I feel like there’s no other choice but to choose Sony every time,” the OPM hitmaker says. “Kasi kaya mo siyang dalhin anywhere. Especially me, I really love singing with my friends. You have two mics and you have the best speaker you could ever have. Pwede ka nang magpatugtog and you can sing, ‘di ba? So, ano pang hahanapin mo?“

The evening ultimately culminated with Kings of P-pop SB19, making their appearance as the newest members of the Sony ULT Squad. The five-piece act performed “LAWLESS,” “Moonlight,” “I WANT YOU,” “DUNGKA!,” and “CRIMZONE,” closing the event with the biggest and loudest cheers of the night — rivaling that of the ULT POWER SOUND.
Through the new product lineup as well as their growing roster of talent, Sony Philippines continues to bring together sound, style, and self-expression, creating experiences that go Beyond the Beat.
