Today (July 1, 2025), it has been announced that the Organisasyon ng mga Pilipinong Mang-aawit (OPM) is set to kick off this year’s iteration of Linggo Ng Musikang Pilipino (LMP).
Established in 2014 under Proclamation No. 933, LMP is the annual celebration of Filipino music all over the country. Dedicated to promoting and highlighting Filipino music to the general public, this year’s Linggo Ng Musikang Pilipino (Week of Filipino Music) is a grand celebration that promotes the community and the collaboration of various music artists and other practitioners in the music industry.
With that, this month-long event will feature shows across Metro Manila — specifically, Marikina City, Quezon City, and Makati City — performed by sets of artists who are members of OPM or collaborators of the organization. OPM Spotlight and Open Mic shows are set to take place as early as July 4, and will end on August 1.
More details about each stage, from ticketing details to lineups, will be unveiled soon.
Moreover, OPM is set to include learning opportunities in their Music Talk series, such as songwriting, music marketing, and music business among others, to enhance the knowledge and skills of Filipino music artists. More details about these talks, from registration to prestigious speaker lineups, will be unveiled soon.
Last year’s lineup for the Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino included headliners like Johnoy Danao, dwta, Sugarcane, jikamarie, and more.
