This week, December Avenue have gained themselves a major new entry on the Billboard Philippines Top Philippine Songs chart.
On June 25, 2025, Billboard Philippines revealed its chart rankings for the week of June 28, 2025. For the Top Philippine Songs, a significant new entry comes in the form of December Avenue’s “Saksi Ang Langit,” as it makes it big debut on the chart at No. 3. In addition to this, it has also entered the Billboard Philippines Hot 100, achieving an initial ranking of No. 6
Released nearly three years ago on November 25, 2022, the emotive track, which serves as an expression of unconditional love and devotion, was the Filipino pop rock band’s only single of 2022. Recently, the song has received significant attention online following the band performing it at the wedding of popular Youtuber Zeinab Harake and professional basketball player Bobby Ray Parks Jr. earlier this month.
In addition to this, a week after the wedding, Harake uploaded online their wedding film, which significantly features “Saksi Ang Langit,”. The video has since gone viral, accumulating millions of streams, and leading the December Avenue track to also gain a growing number of new listeners.
For the top 10 of the Billboard Philippines Top Philippine Songs, Cup of Joe’s “Multo” and Earl Agustin’s “Tibok” maintain their hold on the No. 1 and No. 2 spot respectively. They are immediately followed by “Saksi Ang Langit,” as well as HELLMERRY’s “My Day” and Skusta Clee‘s “Kalimutan Ka” at No. 4 and No. 5 respectively.
Meanwhile, Dionela’s “Marilag” is at No. 6, followed by Rico Blanco’s “Your Universe” at No. 7. After them are Cup of Joe and Janine Teñoso’s “Tingin” at No. 8, as the chart’s top 10 this week is rounded off by Amiel Sol’s “Sa Bawat Sandali” at No. 9 and TJ Monterde and KZ Tandingan’s “Palagi” at No. 10.
