TWICE have a new ‘STRATEGY’ on their latest mini-album.

This time around, the nine-piece girl group has changed up their traditional pop sound for a more genre-fluid approach, incorporating electro-pop and R&B elements onto the record. Such an evolution is most evident in the record’s title track, “Strategy,” which features a guest appearance from chart-topping rap phenomenon Megan Thee Stallion. That isn’t to say that TWICE has lost their touch with bubblegum pop, as several other tracks on the record continue to play around with their beloved sound, while still incorporating new elements here and there, resulting in what may be their most varied record since 2021’s Formula of Love: O+T=<3.

Together with the release of the mini-album, TWICE also dropped a music video to the record’s title track, which stars all nine members of the group alongside Megan Thee Stallion. Check it out below:

STRATEGY marks the group’s second collaboration with the beloved Houston rapper, following their guest appearance on the recently released remix to the chart-topping “Mamushi,” which was included in Thee Stallion’s MEGAN: ACT II.

The record marks TWICE’s first full group Korean release in 11 months, following their thirteenth mini-album With YOU-Th. It topped the U.S. Billboard 200 chart at the time of its release, also marking their first No. 1 on the chart. They also released their fifth Japan album, DIVE, earlier in July 17th.

Additionally, members Nayeon and Tzuyu both released solo projects this year, with Nayeon dropping her second mini-album NA while Tzuyu dropped her solo debut, abouTZU. Earlier this November, the group’s Japanese sub-unit MISAMO (comprised of Mina, Sana, and Momo) dropped their latest mini-album, titled HAUTE COUTURE.
