In a surprise reveal, Ariana Grande announced the release of a highly-anticipated remix of her chart-topping single “yes, and?” featuring none other than beloved musical icon, Mariah Carey, which is scheduled for release on Friday (February 16).

The revelation came as both artists slyly updated their Instagram profile pictures to showcase enigmatic close-ups of their eyes. Grande later delighted fans by sharing a post alongside Carey, confirming the upcoming musical union on her social media platforms. In a social media post, Grande exclaimed, “I cannot believe the words I am typing. ‘Yes, And?’ Remix featuring the one and only queen of my heart and lifelong inspiration @mariahcarey is out this Friday!!!!!!!!!!! There truly are no words that suffice.” Expressing her gratitude, Grande continued, “Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this dream come true and for sprinkling your brilliance and magic on my little song @mariahcarey. It means more to me than I could ever possibly articulate, and I cannot wait for everyone to hear this! I love you eternally!!!!!!!”

This collaboration marks a reunion for Carey and Grande, who previously joined forces on Carey’s rendition of “Oh Santa!” in 2020, featuring Jennifer Hudson, and was included in Carey’s “Magical Christmas Special.” Throughout the years, Grande has consistently expressed admiration for Carey –– even referring to her as an “idol and inspiration” since publicly declaring it in the description of her 2012 cover of Carey’s “Emotions.”

“yes, and?” serves as the lead single from Grande’s highly anticipated seventh studio album, “Eternal Sunshine,” which is currently slated for release on March 8 of this year. The track made history by debuting at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 Songs chart in January, solidifying Grande as the first artist to achieve top 10 debuts with lead singles from all seven of her albums. With Carey’s added touch, the remix is poised to elevate the song to new heights, as these two powerhouse vocalists unite for an unforgettable collaboration.
