Beloved singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell is set to make her debut performance at the 2024 Grammys –– more than 50 years since her first appearance at the prestigious awards show.

The nine-time Grammy winner will be performing at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards, alongside other performers of the night that include Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo, and Billie Eilish. This marks the second time Mitchell will be performing live in front of an audience, following a near-fatal brain aneurysm that occurred last 2015. Last June, the 80-year-old performed her first headlining show in the 2022 Newport Folk Festival with a three hour set, accompanied by other industry legends like Annie Lennox, Marcus Mumford, and Brandi Carlisle.

Aside from performing at this year’s Grammys, Mitchell is also nominated in the category of Best Folk Album for Joni Mitchell Live At Newport, which is a live record that contains her entire musical set at the Newport Folk Festival. Competing alongside her in the category are Dom Flemons (Traveling Wildfire), The Milk Carton Kids (I Only See The Moon), Nickel Creek (Celebrants), Old Crow Medicine Show (Jubilee), Paul Simon (Seven Psalms), and Rufus Wainwright (Folkocracy).

The 66th Annual Grammy Awards are set to take place this February 5, 2024 at 9 AM (PHST). To check out the full list of nominees for the 2024 Grammys, check out the full list here.
