Following astronomical levels of anticipation from fans, K-pop newcomers UNIS are finally here.
Following their formation through the competition show Universe Ticket, the 8-member girl group, have released their debut mini album WE UNIS alongside its lead track “SUPERWOMAN”. An anthem of self-empowerment, the track’s dreamy and bouncy pop sound is further elevated by the elegant and colorful visuals of its accompanying music video.
As established during the airing of Universe Ticket, the group is set to have an active tenure together of 2 years and 6 months.
For Filipino fans in particular, the debut of the octet, consisting of Hyeon-Ju, Gehlee, Nana, Kotoko, Yoona, Yunha, Elisia, and Seowon, have long been awaited as three members, specifically Hyeonju, Gehlee, and Elisia, are also Filipino with the latter two having actually grown up in the Philippines. In fact, prior to their debut, UNIS also announced that they are slated to head to the country as part of their U&iS Fansign Philippine Tour, set to happen In Cebu this May 4 and in Manila this May 5-6.
