Billboard Philippines Women in Music Powerhouse Awardee Regine Velasquez-Alcasid joined the blue carpet at the Billboard Philippines Women in Music Awards held at the Samsung Hall in SM Aura on March 22, 2024.
On the blue carpet, she talked about how it felt to join the event. “Whenever there’s a gathering like this, it’s exciting for all of us because we get to see our peers, and being given this kind of recognition…nakakataba ng puso (it’s really heartwarming).”
As the award’s inaugural honoree, she opened up about how the award continues to inspire her to move forward in her career. “Even though I’m at this point in my career na parang feeling ko pa-end na (where I feel like I’m nearing the end)…it’s giving me encouragement to still push through, to go on. It’s wonderful.”
She is expected to perform a cover of Paramore’s “The Only Exception” during the event, joining other performers and honorees Sarah Geronimo, Moira dela Torre, BINI, and Ena Mori. Regine Velasquez-Alcasid is featured in the special print issue for Women in Music, and is now available via Sari Sari Shopping.
