Morobeats have received the Hip-Hop Song of the Year Award for “GUBAT NG SIYUDAD.”

The hip-hop track, released in 2025, portrays the struggles of urban life in what the group describes as a “concrete jungle,” blending their gritty lyricism with experimental beats.

Other nominees in the category were “My Day” by HELLMERRY, “SUBOMOTO REMIX” by Hev Abi and Zae, “Gusto Ko Sakin Ka Lang” by Robledo Timido, and “MAN IN THE MERROR” by Waiian.

The first-ever Filipino Music Awards is happening today at the Mall of Asia Arena. The event brings together the OPM industry’s biggest artists and influential figures, honoring their contributions to the wider industry at large, presenting a total 20 honors across five major categories and is organized by Modern Media Group Inc. — home to renowned global titles such as Billboard Philippines, Rolling Stone Philippines, Nylon Manila, and Robb Report Philippines — and produced by AGC Power Holdings Corp.
