Morisette took center stage when she accepted the People’s Choice Award, a fan-voted category at Billboard Philippines Women In Music last March 22.

After accepting the award from her husband and long-time collaborator, Dave Lamar, the revered singer shared about her journey as a woman and an independent artist in the industry, adding how it’s been a rocky road but she’s been able to get through with her never-dying love and passion for music.

Morissette closes her acceptance speech with, “Being a woman is a superpower. I’m so thrilled to be celebrating all of us with all of you today.”
