Actress-singer Zephanie will be representing the Philippines as a performer at the upcoming Asian Television Awards in Vietnam.
The ceremony commences today (January 12) and will conclude tomorrow (January 13). The Asian Television Awards will happen at the Hoa Binh Theatre in Ho Chi Minh City. Joining her as performers are South Korean girl group X:In, Indonesian singers Alvin Jo and Nuca, Malaysian singer Wani Kayrie, and Vietnamese singer Hoang My An.
Tonipet Gaba, Kayla Rivera, Louis Hesse, and Luong Thuy Linh. Filipinos Tonipet Gaba and Kayla Rivera as well Thailand’s Louis Hesse and Vietnam’s Luong Thuy Linh will appear as hosts for the event.
She arrived in Vietnam yesterday (January 11), and she posted pictures of her rehearsals at the event hall. In her Instagram post, she wrote, “I’m here.”
Zephanie launched her music career when she clinched the top prize in the first season of Idol Philippines. She went to release her first single, “Pangarap Ko, Pangarap Mo” (My Dream, Your Dream) in 2019. In the same year, she debuted as part of a girl group under ASAP Natin ‘To together with Janine Berdin and Elha Nympha. Zephanie finally released her self-titled debut album in 2022. She was recently chosen by Disney to perform a Filipino translation of the official theme song of the Disney film, Wish. The actress-singer also just released her latest song, “Kung Ang Puso” (If The Heart) last January 7, 2024.
As an actress, she is currently on the cast of Sparkle U as main character Sue Gara. She is part of the segments #Frenemies and #Soundtrip.
