The title track, which shares the same name as the album, holds particular significance for the artist. “The moment I wrote this song, I knew without a doubt in my heart this was what the album was going to be called,” he explained. “I picked up the guitar in 2007 after watching a film that ended with Linkin Park’s “What I’ve Done.” Being in the theater that day changed my life.”
The song he referred to famously appeared in Michael Bay’s 2007 film, Transformers, which featured the track during its closing scene. “That was the first song I ever learned on guitar. The rest is history,” he added.
Often hailed as Cebu City’s “King of Pop Rock,” Wiji Kun has steadily built a following through his DIY approach to music releases. His 2022 debut full-length album, Year One, featured fan-favorite tracks including “Quarantine Zone” and “Tokyo Girl.”
