Veteran rock band Urbandub are hosting a concert and vinyl launch for the 20th anniversary of their sophomore album, Influence.
The anniversary concert will be held this November 24 at 123 Block, Mandala Park, in Mandaluyong City. Urbandub will be joined by Autotelic frontman Josh Villena’s solo project Tota as well as Aoui. Tickets are priced at P5,000 (inclusive of the vinyl and commemorative shirt) and P1,000 for regular admission. Interested attendees can start purchasing tickets on November 8 (Wednesday).
Influence, which was released in 2003 via Lighter Records, is considered to be their breakout album that earned the band nationwide radio airplay and an emerging cult following among rock listeners and young bands that imitated their heavy but melodic sound. The record’s standout track, and arguably most popular release so far, “Soul Searching,” won Song of the Year at the 2003 NU107 Rock Awards. The record was also crowned Album of the Year at the 2004 edition of the same awards show.
As of now, Influence is not officially available online. In other news, Urbandub recently dropped a re-recording of their debut album Birth, titled Re-Birth. Listen to the album below:
