UNIS have officially made their first comeback.
On August 6, the up-and-coming girl group released their single album CURIOUS, featuring the lead track “Only You Don’t Know (Curious)” alongside “Datin’ Myself” and “Poppin’.” “Only You Don’t Know (Curious)” sees UNIS head into a heavy pop rock territory with their sound, showcasing bass-heavy, upbeat rhythms and catchy melodies accompanied by lyrics that tackle themes of discovering their true selves, shedding their past, and boldly moving forward with confidence. Alongside the release of CURIOUS, the eight-member K-pop unit also premiered an accompanying music video for “Only You Don’t Know (Curious).”
UNIS’ return with CURIOUS was first officially announced last July 14 via a promotional schedule poster upload on their social media. CURIOUS follows their debut with the mini album WE UNIS, which features the tracks “SUPERWOMAN,” “Dopamine,” “Whatchu Need,” and more, released last March 27.
Prior to their comeback, UNIS went on a a special, three-day fansign tour of the Philippines last May, visiting both Cebu and Manila. During the tour, Billboard Philippines caught up with the “SUPERWOMAN” hitmakers for an exclusive interview, going into detail about UNIS’ origins on reality competition show Universe Tickets, the members’ favorite tracks from WE UNIS, how it felt meeting their fans in the Philippines for the first time, and more.
